Pear in Orange Sauce

Pear in Orange Sauce on a plate
Makes: 4 servings

Sweet and simple, this warm and cozy dessert is the perfect end to a fall or winter meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium pears
  • 3/4 cup 100% orange juice
  • 4 teaspoons sugar

Directions

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Peel the pears and cook in a double boiler for 15 minutes.
  3. Mix sugar and orange juice and cook over low flame for 5 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Place steamed pears on individual plates. Pour 1/4 of the juice mixture over each and serve.
