Honey Mustard Pork Chops on a plate

This family favorite can be made in minutes! Enjoy with a side salad and a whole grain biscuit or dinner roll.

Ingredients

  • 4 top loin pork chops
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce, reduced sodium
  • 2 tablespoons light honey mustard

Directions

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Put the pork chops in the large non-stick skillet.
  3. Cook over medium-high heat to brown one side of the pork chops.
  4. Use the spatula to turn the chops.
  5. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir.
  6. Cover the pan and lower the heat.
  7. Simmer for 6 to 8 minutes until chops are done.

     

Notes

  • Pork chops are done when they reach an internal temperature of 145 °F.
  • You can substitute 2 tablespoons of honey mustard with 1 tablespoon of honey plus 1 tablespoon of mustard mixed together.
    • Children under the age of one should not consume honey.

The whole family loved these pork chops. Did take about double the time recommended but well worth it.

Cooking time listed is only for thin pork chops. We like thicker chops, so the time needed was quite a bit longer. <br/>This recipe is super-easy and it was DELICIOUS!

"Top loin" is not a phrase used in the meat case where I shopped - and the butcher was not familiar with the phrase - I simply purchased the least expensive loin - might look into the wording and just say "lean pork chop"
