Squash Soup | Soup Joumou
Soup Joumou is a traditional Haitian soup made with calabaza squash, a pumpkin-like gourd that is native to the Caribbean and is cooked and blended. It is a celebratory dish often seen as a symbol of strength and freedom for Haitians and its preparation is said to promote social unity.
