Turmeric Fish | Chả Cá Lã Vọng
Chả Cá Lã Vọng, also known as Chả Cá Thăng Long, is a Vietnamese grilled fish dish that originated in the capital city of Hanoi. It is traditionally made with white fish, such as catfish or tilapia, that has been marinated in turmeric, fish sauce, and galangal. It is served with vermicelli noodles and fresh herbs and is often accompanied by nước chấm--a sweet-sour and savory dipping sauce--or mắm ruốc, a fermented and umami-rich alternative.
